About JetChalet

JetChalet is an English-language guide for people taking their first private flight or their first stay at a five-star hotel. We explain what things cost, how the options differ and what to ask before you pay, in plain words and without the sales talk.

We are a guide, not an operator

We do not sell, arrange or operate flights. We are not an airline, an air charter operator, a charter broker or a travel agency, and we cannot book a seat or an aircraft for you. When we name an operator, a broker or a membership program, it is because they publish prices or terms that help explain the topic, not because we work for them. To fly, you deal with an operator or broker directly, and you should check who actually operates the aircraft before you pay.

How we check facts and prices

• Only published sources. Flight prices come from the operators' and brokers' own pages; hotel facts from the hotel's own website and the official rating. Each page lists its sources with the day we read them.
• Ranges, never promises. Private flight prices depend on the aircraft, the route, the date and where the jet has to fly from. We show the range a source publishes and the date we checked it. When two brokers publish different ranges for one jet size, we show a range that covers both and name both. It is not a quote.
• Top-rated hotels, without room rates. We list hotels at the top level of an official or recognized rating, and we name that rating: stars in most places, AAA's Diamonds in the US. Where few hotels reach the top, as in Aspen with AAA's Five Diamond, we add the next level and say so on the card. Below them, most destinations have a short backup list one level down from the same source, for when the first list is full. We never turn a Diamond rating into stars. We do not print room prices because they change daily.
• Only sites that allow it. If a site's own rules do not let us use it, we leave it out, or we check the fact by hand and say so. We do not use encyclopedias or forums as sources.
• Our own words. We never copy text, tables or photos. Every photo has a licence for this use and a named author on our photo credits page.

How we make money

Some hotel links are affiliate links through our booking partner. If you book through them we may earn a commission, and you pay the same price. Flights carry no commission for us. Details are on How we make money.
