How we make money
Free to read, paid for by commissions on some hotel bookings. Flights earn us nothing.
JetChalet is free to read. We pay for it with affiliate commissions on hotel bookings, and we want you to know exactly how that works.
Hotel links
On our destination guides, most hotels have a "Check availability" button. It goes through our booking partner, Stay22, which shows live availability and prices from booking sites. If you book a stay after that click, the booking site pays Stay22 a commission and Stay22 shares part of it with us. You pay the same price as you would without our link.
For selected hotels the main button is "Hotel's own website" instead. It goes straight to the hotel, and we earn no commission on it.
The Stay22 links are marked as sponsored in the page code. We do not show room prices ourselves, because they change every day.
Flights
We earn nothing from flights. We do not sell, arrange or operate flights, and no operator, broker or membership program pays us to be named or ranked. When we quote a price, it is a range the operator or broker publishes, with the day we checked it.
What commissions do not change
- Which hotels we list: the top level of a recognized rating (stars, or AAA's Diamonds in the US), the next level where few hotels reach the top, and a short backup list, always with the source of the rating named on the page.
- What we write about them: facts from the hotel's own website and official sources, in our own words.
- The order: hotels are listed by area or by what the guide explains, never by commission.
